Okay, it’s hard to even describe how excited I was to get my hands on a real Magic Wand. I mean, this is the grand-daddy of sex toys, it was a sex toy before we even knew what sex toys were. This is the real deal, and it’s sort of like being allowed to drive a vintage car or something, so as a sex writer I was SUPER stoked to get a Magic Wand. See, you’d think that all that enthusiasm would just lead to inevitable disappointment, but you’d be sooo wrong. Let’s start from the beginning though.
First Impressions
Alright, the Magic Wand isn’t going to win any futuristic design awards, but then, why fix something that isn’t broken? It’s done its job for years, so who am I to criticise the design? It was longer than I expected, around nine inches, with a smooth, vibrating head. Also quite shocking for someone who’s used to high tech sex toys is that this is electric. Yeah, electric as in it’s got a cord to plug in and everything. Well, at least that means that I won’t need to buy batteries, I guess…
The Important Part…
I’m going to be honest here, I didn’t skip straight to using the Magic Wand as a sex toy. See, the Wand has never been really marketed as a sex toy, it’s a massager, and all the pictures on the box show people massaging their necks and backs and stuff, so I figured that was a good place to start. The vibrating feeling on my muscles was pretty intense, and I’ve got to say that I was very relaxed, and I hadn’t even come yet.
Once I’d stripped down, I got to work. Then I had to stop. Because I came. Seriously. Within like twenty seconds. I think most of us aren’t too used to clitoral vibrators any more, since we’re more likely to use inserted vibrators, but man, are we missing out. Even on the slow setting (1there’s two speed settings) the Wand was like magic little fingers massaging my clit. In fact, the sensation was so good that sometimes it got a little much, and I had to move the vibrating head down between my lips for a second or so and regain some control…
Good to Know
I’ll admit that I was a bit worried about the noise, the Wand isn’t the quietest vibrator I’ve ever used. But I did ask my guy if he could hear it from outside the bedroom door and he said no, so I guess it’s not as loud as I imagined.
The other thing I was concerned about was cleaning, since it’s electric and you can’t just dump it in some soapy water. I got some bleach cleaning cloths and used those to wipe it down, then sponged it off with regular water after, and that took care of that issue.
The Verdict
My verdict can be summed up in one word: Awesome. I’ve literally never had a sex toy make me come this fast before. And as a bonus I’ve got a massager too- as well as a toy that can safely be kept around the house without people knowing that I’m kinky.
